The Canadian Association of Midwives (CAM) frequently seeks out qualified midwives to support various projects. CAM tries to offer a variety of both short-term and long-term placement opportunities to accommodate the on-call schedules of our members.

CAM’s global placement opportunities often involve travel to countries where we are working with partner associations or with other organizations.  Our short-term placements generally involve travel from 10 days up to 6 weeks, depending on the nature of the mission.  Our long-term placements can last anywhere from 6 months to one year.  CAM covers all costs related to travel, including pre-departure preparations, in-country transportation, accommodation, per diem amounts and insurance coverage.  In many instances, midwives also receive an honorarium or a consultant fee for their time and expertise.
